The Theatre Group once again delivered an unforgettable day out in London, centred around a visit to Come Alive! The Greatest Showman at Empress Space, West Brompton on 12 June.
From start to finish, it was a day full of energy, laughter, and shared moments that we will all remember for a long time. We shared a spot of lunch at The Lillie Langtry, a welcoming and characterful pub just a short distance from the venue, allowing everyone to gather, relax, and catch up over food and drinks before the main event. The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, setting a great tone for what was to come.
Afterwards, we made our way over to the venue, where the excitement began to build with a number of indoor side shows and acts to entertain us all before the show started.
Come Alive! The Greatest Showman delivered on every level. From the moment the performance started, we were completely drawn in by the amazing and extremely talented cast, vibrant music, dazzling choreography, and immersive staging. The show captured the spirit and spectacles of the original film, adding its own unique flair making it feel fresh and exhilarating. What made the experience even more special was sharing it as a group. Watching everyone's reactions—whether it was a competition or a performance——added to the overall enjoyment. It was one of those outings where everything came together perfectly: great company, a fantastic venue, and an outstanding performance (thanks again to Marion Clarke for your organisation).
As the day came to an end, we all agreed that it had been a truly memorable experience. Whether you are a fan of The Greatest Showman or simply looking for a lively and uplifting day out in London, this is an event well worth attending.
