Meets: Fourth Tuesday of each month at 2pm.

Venue: Private house

Poetry Writing Group looking for inspiration

Details:

A self-help group for anyone interested in learning more about the craft of writing poetry. Suitable for beginners and more experienced writers wishing to improve their knowledge and skills. Despite the lockdowns, we have kept going courtesy of Zoom and we would be delighted to have new members.

At the start of each meeting we share what we have written in the month and invite comments/suggestions for change. Everyone is very supportive of each other’s efforts so this is not an intimidating process at all. We then complete an exercise or two designed to inspire ideas and create fun around the poetry writing process and share the results of our efforts. We finish off by agreeing on some writing prompts to use during the coming month if nothing else happens to inspire us.

We would be delighted to have new members so anyone interested in joining the group should contact Group Leaders to find out the venue of the next meeting
