"The room was buzzing with nearly 80 members - a full house for our very own bingo brigade"
What a fantastic afternoon we had on 22 April at our Cream Tea and Bingo Afternoon. The room at the Angel Centre was buzzing from the moment people arrived, with nearly 80 members in attendance — a full house for our very own
bingo brigade. There was a real sense of anticipation as friends gathered, tables filled and the first calls of the afternoon got underway.
Our caller, Frani Hoskins, kept everything running smoothly, guiding us through each round with warmth, humour and a steady stream of classic bingo calls. From “two little ducks, 22” to “legs eleven”, there were smiles all around as numbers were marked off and hopeful glances exchanged across the tables.
Frani struck just the right balance, keeping the pace lively while making sure everyone felt part of the fun.
A special mention is due to the events team, whose careful attention to detail made the room feel instantly welcoming. The beautifully dressed tables created the perfect setting for a relaxed and sociable afternoon, and the cream
tea was a real highlight, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
As the afternoon went on, the room filled with conversation, laughter and the occasional cheer as winning lines were called. It was lovely to see so many members coming together, whether catching up with familiar faces or meeting
someone new over tea and bingo cards.
All in all, it was a great success — good company, plenty of laughter and a wonderful turnout.
Events like this are a reminder of what makes Tonbridge u3a so special, and we are already looking forward to the next one.
