Celebrating 25 Years as a vibrant part of the Tonbridge community
Group: Storytelling
Meets: Fourth Wednesday of the month at 2.30pm
Venue: Locally
Details:
"We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories."― Jonathan Gottschall
We warmly invite you to explore and share stories together. We encourage the practice of some storytelling techniques to build confidence for each of us to tell our stories in the group during our gathering. We either choose a story we already know or write one of our own, and over time we move from reading the story, to having prompts, to remembering it and telling it to the group. We are encouraged to give constructive feedback after sharing a story using prompt cards on tone, imagery, structure, emotion, etc. so we can learn and develop the art of storytelling.
