The Tu3a Singers received an invitation from Hollanden Park Hospital in Hildenborough (a private hospital specialising in treatment and rehabilitation of adults with neurological conditions) to sing at their Family Fun Day on Saturday 4 October. This followed a recommendation from one of the carers at the Hospital who came to hear the Tu3a Singers back in July when they gave an
informal concert in the parish church.
The Singers performed their usual eclectic mix of songs, ably directed by leader, Maggie Hall. The audience were invited to join in whenever they wished and many did to some of the more well-known songs.
As a thank you, the singers were treated to an excellent lunch afterwards. This time also provided an opportunity to chat with members of the audience as well as some of the staff.
A very enthusiastic thank you has been received from the organisers and the Singers have been invited to return in the near future.
This event provided an excellent opportunity, not only for the Singers to perform, but also to spread the word about the u3a and network with the local community.
