The Tonbridge u3a Ambling Group met at Haysden car park on Tuesday 24 March for their second walk of the month, led by Doug and Wendy Gardner.
Members enjoyed a gentle three-mile route around the Haysden Lake area,
mainly on footpaths with a few soft muddy stretches. The walk was mostly
flat, while also taking in the slopes near the Leigh Barrier. A possible extra circuit of Barden Lake was saved for another day, as some walkers had later commitments.
Those staying on rounded off the morning with refreshments at the café. Although a little chilly, the weather stayed kind and, after several earlier cancellations, everyone was delighted to be back out enjoying the fresh air and good company.
