Principles for a Better Future
Group: Principles for a Better Future
Meets: 1.30pm on the fourth Monday of the month
Venue: North Tonbridge
Details:
A non-political discussion group that looks at our world, the way it operates, and current thinking - contrasting how we would want it to be organised with regard to issues such as equality, poverty, justice, security, environment, health, education and faith. We are using the United Nations: Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development for the basis of our discussions. Their mission statement is 'A shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.' The idea is to discuss the major inequitable issues in the world, understanding their current operation and how we can make improvements both individually and collectively in our local communities.
This is a time when we can all act to create the world we want the next generation to inherit, this group aims to challenge our thinking about how each of us can make a difference.
We look forward to welcoming you to this new group.
