Group: Memories of Tonbridge on Film

Meets: Third Wednesday of each month at 2pm

The group is due to commence in October and is intended to stimulate our memories of those events that have taken place in the Tonbridge area, many of which have been caught on camera.

Our meetings will be based on the Tonbridge Film Makers collection of films which includes events such as Dragon Boat Racing, Tour de France, Tonbridge Arts Festivals, Kelly Holmes, the Tonbridge Passion Play, Queen's Jubilees and Commonwealth Batten Relay, Hop Farms, Oast Theatre including A Pocketfull of Hops, We must not forget our u3a very own Christmas Carol. Also there are films of several villages in the area including Brenchley and Matfield, Plaxtol, Ightham etc.

Some members may have been involved, either participating or simply being there in the crowd.

Each meeting would be based on a theme and usually include more than one event.
